SIMPLE HEALTH TIPS
Following is a compilation of a few simple home remedies and suggestions that will help in the day to day life.
  • Drink 2 to 3 glasses of warm water in the morning . This helps to hydrate the body and to increase peristaltic movements.
  • Wash your eyes and face thoroughly with plain cold water. This cleans and improves circulation in the eye.
  • Gargle with warm salt water. The complex minerals in salt (unrefined sea salt) helps to provide oral hygiene.
  • Pop in a clove or a few cardamom seeds in the mouth. They help to get rid of bad breath(Halitosis) and improve digestion.
  • Combination of a tablespoon of honey with equal quantity of lemon juice will help boost immunity.
  • Chewing a small piece of fresh ginger will help clear throat.
  • Regular application of vegetable oils on the scalp helps in hair growth, prevents burning of eyes, and dandruff, nourishment of hair follicles.
  • Applying vegetable oils like coconut oil or sesame oil on the body helps improve circulation, prevents dermal infections, and gives luster to the skin.
  • Drinking at least 2 to 3 liters of liquids a day helps hydrate the body.
  • Avoid sleeping immediately after eating. A minimum gap of 3 hours has to be maintained before sleeping.
  • Always drink liquids at room temperature. The functioning of all digestive enzymes like alpha amylase, pepsin, rennin is optimum at room temperature.
  • Drinking an infusion made of fennel seeds and cumin seeds helps digestion after a heavy meal.
  • Dedicate at least 30 to 60 minutes a day to any physical exercise. (walking, running, yoga, football etc)
  • Include lots of cooked vegetables, fruits and high fiber natural food in your diet.
  • Drink a glass of warm water before going to bed to improve digestion.
  • Apply a drop of ghee on the eyelids and soles . This will help relax and sleep well.
  • Diaphragm breathing is recommended at all times.
  • Evacuation of body wastes is a must at specific intervals to prevent accumulation of toxins in the body.
